EMS Program Supervisor

This position coordinates and manages all activities of the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) training staff regarding EMS education, development, and compliance and quality improvement activities; manages the Health and Human Services Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMS-C) grant and program; coordinates the objectives of the EMS-C Program, the EMS-related objectives funded through the Medicaid Rural Hospital Flexibility (Flex) grant, and the general EMS education and responsibilities of the OEMS; monitors and builds compliance across all areas of the comprehensive statewide system; reinforces the Hospital Preparedness Program HPP within EMS agencies and assists with monitoring compliance; and supports the Statewide Trauma Program through EMS policy, quality improvement and development activities. This position is expected to support the agency’s emergency response efforts as directed by leadership.

EMS Records and Data Specialist

Hawaii EMS, Trauma, and Injury Prevention Physician Manager (Branch Chief)

This position is located in the Health Resources Administration, Emergency Medical Services & Injury Prevention System Branch (EMS&IPSB) of the Department of Health.

The Branch is responsible for the State Emergency Medical Services System (EMSS), which assures the availability of quality emergency medical care statewide to minimize deaths, injuries and disabilities due to life threatening conditions. It includes a broad based injury prevention program to reduce death and disability and the need for emergency services by primary prevention strategies. The Branch also works with other Departmental Divisions and with external partners to prepare for potential disasters and other public health emergencies with a coordinated response for pre-hospital medical services.

This position serves as the EMS&IPSB Chief and plans, directs, supervises, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the operation of the Branch's programs, services and activities. This position provides the medical direction and licensure under which Statewide Pre-Hospital Standing Orders for the care of patients by emergency medical personnel are executed, and provides expert medical consultation in public health emergencies.

Program Manger III

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a Program Manager III to oversee a collection of related/integrated projects that together support a long-term research initiative. This position strategically guides one or more project managers and related technical staff to ensure they are all working effectively toward the program’s stated objectives. Typically oversees moderate to highly complex scope of work.

This position will be in support of the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Pubic Health (NCDMPH), a center of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) in Bethesda, MD. The Program Manager III will support a portfolio of inter-related National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) & 911 projects to support post-crash care. The incumbent will work closely with our stakeholders at the Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and multiple partners of the Joint Disaster Medicine and Public Health Ecosystem. This position focuses on providing administrative project oversight in order to maximize the effective use of project resources. Specific tasks include coordination of subaward activities and progress monitoring, submission of yearly progress reviews, financial performance analysis, and coordination of collaborations between partners and stakeholders.
